Here’s a real eye-opener of what we are doing to our marine world. This research was conducted by Fin and Max.
Why we should save our Marine world!
The environmental threats of this biome
Many fish are killed every day due to oil spills, littering and overfishing. Since 1950, 90% of the global fish population have died, leaving only a tenth of the fish remaining! According to scientists, we will run out of seafood by 2050 (I’ll only be 43 years old). The reason why we’re running out of sea food so quickly is because there is 7,000,000,000 people left in the world and many counties rely on this delicacy.
How this affects sharks
It isn’t quite known yet, but around 63,000,000-270,000,000 are killed each year due to us humans. People kill sharks for their fins and because people believe they’re deadly. However, every year in the U.S only 19 shark attacks take place. Put it this way, 1 person out of 323.1 million people die from sharks every two years in the U.S. And by the way, you have more chance of choking on your dinner reading this tonight or falling out your bed and cracking your head open than being killed by a shark on your next holiday to Barbados! In the end, you don’t need to worry about sharks.
How can we stop the marine biome from perishing
These creatures may not be cute and cuddly, but would you save them… I would. These creatures are dying rapidly and not many people know but we can stop this. We can do this by not littering our crisp packets. We could also follow websites like WWF or you could donate money.
You should do these instructions above to save the fish. So if you’re eating fish or chips or if you’ve eaten fish or chips then think of the fishes’ life you destroyed!!
